The BEST DRINKING GAMES FOR TWO PEOPLE

1. THREE TRUTHS AND A LIE

This game is a fun drinking game for two people who don’t know each other very well but want to learn more about each other! No matter if this is a new date or a new friend you met at the gym, this game is most fun when you know some things about the other person but not everything about them. This makes the game much more interesting and challenging.

What’s the best part? You won’t need any cards or other things to play the game.

The game’s main idea is easy to understand. The first person to play starts by telling three true things about themselves and one lie. You can do this in any order you want, but you must make all three claims in the same way, as if they were true.

After that, it will be up to the second player to figure out which of the three facts is a lie. If the second person’s guess is right, the first person has to take a drink. If not, the second-place player will have to take a drink.

After that, the next person will talk about their own facts, and so on.

When people choose interesting things about themselves that sound fake but aren’t, the game gets a lot more fun. If you don’t want to be last, the lie needs to be easy to believe.

2. Never in my life have I ever

Everyone is familiar with the drinking game “Never Have I Ever,” which is widely considered to be among the most well-known and well-liked of all drinking games. Even while the game is most frequently played with a big number of people, it may still be a lot of fun with only two players.

This game is a lot of fun, especially if you don’t know very much about the person you’re playing it with, because the point of it is to find out as many new and naughty things about each other as you possibly can!

In the event that you are not already familiar with the game, the following instructions will help you get started:

The first person to participate in the game starts by describing something they’ve never done. For example, “Never Have I ever gone trekking.” You may begin with something simple like this, and then gradually work your way up to something crazier, spicier, or just plain kinkier as you progress. Everything hinges on how at ease you are with confessing the things you’ve done! A conversation that begins with something as innocuous as hiking might conclude with a statement such as “I have never ever participated in group sex.”

If the other person has done what has been asked, then the first person must drink. In that case, we might assume that they do not drink. In any case, it is each person’s turn to say something about themselves that they have never done, and so on.

3. I’m going to take a trip.

This two person drinking game is going to require some memory “I’m Going on a Trip,” which becomes progressively more hilarious the more inebriated its players become.

The objective of this game is straightforward: each participant is required to name one item, in alphabetical order, from A to Z, that they would bring on a vacation. The next person is responsible for listing anything, but they must also keep in mind the item listed previously. At the beginning of each turn, a new item is added to the list.

For example, the first player may remark something along the lines of “I’m going on a trip and I’m packed antiseptic.” The second participant in the game must then continue, saying something along the lines of “I’m going on a trip, and I’m bringing antiseptic and beach balls.” And so on, until someone forgets anything on the list or can’t think of anything, at which point they are required to take a drink because they were unable to come up with anything!

As the player’s degree of intoxication increases and more bizarre objects are unlocked, the game has the potential to become completely absurd. There is a good chance that you will wind up “arguing” over whether or not xerox paper or a zipper are examples of items that someone would pack for a vacation.

4. SPEED FACTS

Because the point of the game is to see how well the players know each other, it works best when the players already know each other very well. It’s a piece of cake to play!

The rules of the game say that each player must take turns saying true things about the other players. Every time they do something wrong, they have to take a shot. (You can also change how much wrong information a person needs to have before they can take a shot.)

The players have to take turns going back and forth and writing down accurate information about their partners. When a player gets three questions or sentences wrong, they have to take a drink.

If you want to get drunk, this game might not be the best way to do it. However, you might end up feeling nostalgic and happy about how much the other player knows about you.

5. MIND MELD

This game is best played with just two people making it a perfect two person drinking game, since adding more players would make the rules much harder to understand.

Each person is supposed to look at the other, start counting to three, and then say a word. The next step in the game is for each player to say the word that comes to mind when they think about both of the words that have already been said.

For example, if one player says “ball” and the other says “dog,” the two words may be used together to form the word “fetch.”

The game can get very strange and crazy, especially when people use words that don’t seem to have anything to do with each other.

When the word that was said doesn’t match the word that was said, the players have to take a drink.

Up next are ten insanely entertaining drinking games.

6. FLIP CUP

This is a tried-and-true drinking game that is usually played with a lot of people at college parties, but it can be just as fun with just two people.

You’ll have to do the following:

Drinks with less alcohol that are served in cups (like beer or Breezers, for example)

Just in case you were wondering, this is how you do it!

Each player gets five cups, which are then filled to the first line. Then, the players turn their backs to each other across the table and line up their cups on the side of the table.

When the count reaches three, everyone must take their first cup and drink as much of it as they can as quickly as possible. Then, they have to put the cup on the very edge of the table and flip it over with one finger so that the spout points in the opposite direction.

If the cup is not turned over correctly, each person won’t be able to take the next sip.

The person who finishes first wins.

We have a more detailed explanation here.

7. THE MUSTACHE TV

This one is pretty simple: just draw a moustache on a piece of paper and tape it to the front of your TV. Then you put on your favourite movie or TV show. You get a drink every time a moustache grows on someone else’s face that looks good.

It’s possible that you’ll have to be very careful when you tape the moustache to your TV so that you don’t damage the screen. The front of older TVs was made of glass, which made it easy to do this. But it might take some creativity to do it with a modern TV, like hanging the moustache from a shelf with a thread.

8. A game of “Drunken Coin Toss”

This game is a lot of fun and easy to learn.

Each person takes a turn placing a bet, which is done by pouring some of their favourite drink into a glass. The person who poured the drink is the one who throws the coin, and the other person has to say whether it will land on heads or tails.

If the second player gets it wrong, they have to drink the whole drink they bet on. If they do it, the person pouring will have to stop and take a sip instead.

This could get really competitive and fun, but one thing is for sure: you’ll probably both end up drunk. If both outcomes are just as likely, the odds should be pretty close to even….

9. BEER PONG

This is another well-known drinking game that you have probably already played with a large group of people. But you don’t need a lot of people to have fun playing this game, because even just two people can have a lot of fun with it! It definitely brings out the fun in people’s competitive sides, and it’s a great game to play with your partner or your best friend.

If you don’t know how to play, here’s what you need to know:

Each person should have six full cups of beer or any other drink they want set up in a triangle shape on both sides of the table in front of them. There are three cups in the row at the back of the shelf, two in the middle, and one at the front. The goal of the game is to hit the ball so that it goes into your opponent’s cup, which is on the other side of the table. If you get the ball into a cup, your opponent has to finish the drink and then the cup is taken out of the game.

The game is won by the first person to knock over all of their opponent’s cups. Whoever loses has to finish the rest of the drinks.

Since there are only two of us, it might not be the best idea to fill the cups all the way up. There is nothing worse than having your evening cut short because someone else has had too much to drink and feels terrible.

10. HIGHER OR LOWER

Playing this game is really easy and a lot of fun at the same time. It’s played with a deck of cards most of the time, but if you don’t have one handy, you can always use an app deck that you downloaded on your phone instead!

After the deck has been mixed up, the first player chooses a card at random from the pile and places it face up on the table.

After then, the second player is tasked with predicting whether the following card in the deck will have a greater or lower value. If they are unsuccessful, they will drink. If they are successful, the opposing player has to take a drink.

11. FLIP, SIP OR SHARE

This drinking game is a lot of fun, and if that’s what you’re going for, it could get naughty. The only things you need are a penny and the drink of your choice . You don’t have a coin on you, do you? Just get an app that lets you pretend to flip coins.

The first person to act must toss a coin, and the second player must immediately say whether it landed on its head or tail.

If the second player’s guess is right, the third player gets the chance to flip the coin next. If they get it wrong, they have to take a drink, and the first player flips again to start the game over. If the guess is wrong again, the second person must post a strange statement on their social media accounts without giving any explanation. The people taking part have full control over this part. For instance, they could say, “I just pooped on my bed.” Or anything else like that, but keep in mind that it should be something safe and fun that wouldn’t hurt your relationships or job prospects.

The strip version is an extra way to play this. Instead of posting on social media, the person gets rid of one piece of clothing. How you want to play the game is completely up to you!

12. BATTLESHOTS!

This is a great new way to play Battleship, which has been around for a long time. You can play the game even if you don’t have the board game because you can make your own board. You only need two pieces of paper, something to write with, and a divider. We have some other DIY options here.

Make a grid with 7×7 squares, number the rows, and put a letter in each column. Pick six tiles at random and put an X on them to represent the ships in your fleet.

Then, each player should take turns moving their turn marker around the board to try to guess where their opponent’s ships are. Every time one of your ships is sunk, you have to drink a glass of water.

The person who wins is the one whose ships are destroyed first.

13. STRAIGHT FACE

This game is a lot of fun, especially if you’re like me and can’t help but laugh out loud whenever someone else can’t hold back their laughter. The game’s rules are not too hard to understand! After you print them out as little strips, you break them up and put the pieces in a bowl. These could be jokes, great puns, or rude things to say. The first person picks a strip at random and reads what it says. Everyone must keep a serious look on their face. The first person to laugh has to buy the other person a drink.

You won’t be able to brag about winning this game, but you will have a great time and get very drunk very quickly.

14. TRY NOT TO LAUGH MARATHON

The goal of this game is to find a “Try not to laugh” video on YouTube. These videos are usually full of beautiful vines that are too good for this world. Before you start this game, it’s best to have had a few drinks, but you can start even if you haven’t had anything to drink. A player will have to urinate on themselves if they laugh. If it’s a very funny video, I hope everything goes well with your liver.

15. TRUTH OR DARE

Another well-known traditional game, can easily be turned into a two person drinking game! This version of Truth or Dare is played in the exact same manner as the classic version. The person who goes first must choose between telling the truth or taking a dare. They are required to take a drink if they choose the truth but don’t want to answer the question. They are required to drink if they choose the dare but are unable to carry it out successfully. Each participant takes a turn answering questions or completing difficulties, and the more inebriated the players grow, the more entertaining this game becomes. This is an excellent game for learning more about the other player as well as about yourself!
